AppBar.closedDisplayMode property

Applies to Windows and Windows Phone

Gets or sets how the app bar is displayed when hidden is true.

Syntax

appBar.closedDisplayMode = closedDisplayMode;

Property value

Type: string

For Windows, the value property is one of the following:

  • "none" - the app bar is not initially displayed.
  • "minimal" - the app bar is displayed with ellipsis only, no icons or labels. This is the default value.

For Windows Phone 8.1, the value property is one of the following:

  • "compact" - the app bar is displayed with command icons only, no labels. This is the default value.
  • "minimal" - the app bar is displayed with ellipsis only, no icons or labels.

Remarks

Note   For Windows, this member is available starting with the WinJS 3.0 library. The WinJS 3.0 library is available via CDN, package manager, or website download but currently not through the Windows Store as a Windows Store framework package.
