StorageFolder.CreateFolderQuery() | createFolderQuery() method

Creates a query result object to filter and enumerate top-level sub-folders of the current folder.

Syntax

var storageFolderQueryResult = storageFolder.createFolderQuery();

Parameters

This method has no parameters.

Return value

Type: StorageFolderQueryResult

A query result object that can be used to filter and enumerate files in the current folder by their sub-folder.

Remarks

This method creates a query result object identical to query result created by calling CreateFolderQuery(CommonFolderQuery) and specifying the CommonFolderQuery.DefaultQuery enumeration value.

You can also get a top-level list of sub-folders of the current folder asynchronously by calling one of the GetFoldersAsync methods.

Windows Phone 8

This API is not implemented and will throw an exception if called.
