TypeConverter.ConvertFromInvariantString Method (ITypeDescriptorContext, String)

Converts the given string to the type of this converter, using the invariant culture and the specified context.

context

An ITypeDescriptorContext that provides a format context.

Return Value

An Object that represents the converted text.

Exception typeCondition

NotSupportedException

The conversion cannot be performed.

An exception is raised if the string cannot be converted into the appropriate object. The default implementation always returns a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).

Use the context parameter to extract additional information about the environment from which this converter is invoked. This parameter can be a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic), so always check it. Also, properties on the context object can return a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).
