Upgrading from com.ms.* Packages to Equivalent .NET Framework Class Libraries

Visual J# supports com.ms.* packages that are critical to successfully upgrading Visual J++ 6.0 applications to Visual J#. The complete list of packages is available in Supported Class Libraries.

The .NET Framework class library provides functionality equivalent to many of the unsupported com.ms.* packages. Many of these com.ms.* classes have direct equivalents in the .NET Framework class library.

The table below shows .NET Framework equivalents to some of the commonly used com.ms.* packages:
