Dispatcher::CurrentDispatcher Property

Gets the Dispatcher for the thread currently executing and creates a new Dispatcher if one is not already associated with the thread.

You cannot set this property in XAML.

Property Value

Type: System.Windows.Threading::Dispatcher
The dispatcher associated with the current thread.

If a Dispatcher is not associated with the current thread, a new Dispatcher will be created. This is not the case with the FromThread method. FromThread will return nullptr if there is not a dispatcher associated with the specified thread.
