XmlLangPropertyAttribute Class

Specifies the property to associate with the xml:lang Handling in XAML.

Namespace:  System.Windows.Markup
Assembly:  WindowsBase (in WindowsBase.dll)
[AttributeUsageAttribute(AttributeTargets.Class, AllowMultiple = false)]
public sealed class XmlLangPropertyAttribute : Attribute
You cannot directly create an instance of this class in XAML.

The following example creates a class named MyElement which is decorated with the XmlLangPropertyAttribute. The property named Language on the MyElement class is set as the xml:lang property.

[XmlLangProperty("Language")]
public class MyElement : UIElement
{
    public MyElement()
    {
    }

    public string Language
    {
        get { return _language; }
        set { _language = value; }
    }

    private string _language;

}

The following markup shows the MyElement class being instantiated in Extensible Application Markup Language (XAML) and shows two equivalent ways of setting the xml:lang.

<StackPanel xmlns:custom="clr-namespace:SDKSamples">
  <custom:MyElement Language="en-US"></custom:MyElement>
  <custom:MyElement xml:lang="en-US"></custom:MyElement>
</StackPanel>
