DataGridView.RowStateChanged Event

Occurs when a row changes state, such as losing or gaining input focus.

Namespace: System.Windows.Forms
Assembly: System.Windows.Forms (in system.windows.forms.dll)

public event DataGridViewRowStateChangedEventHandler RowStateChanged
/** @event */
public void add_RowStateChanged (DataGridViewRowStateChangedEventHandler value)

/** @event */
public void remove_RowStateChanged (DataGridViewRowStateChangedEventHandler value)

In JScript, you can handle the events defined by a class, but you cannot define your own.
Not applicable.

For more information about handling events, see Consuming Events.

The following code example demonstrates the use of this member. In the example, an event handler reports on the occurrence of the RowStateChanged event. This report helps you to learn when the event occurs and can assist you in debugging. To report on multiple events or on events that occur frequently, consider replacing System.Windows.Forms.MessageBox.Show with System.Console.WriteLine or appending the message to a multiline TextBox.

To run the example code, paste it into a project that contains an instance of type DataGridView named DataGridView1. Then ensure that the event handler is associated with the RowStateChanged event.

private void DataGridView1_RowStateChanged(Object sender, DataGridViewRowStateChangedEventArgs e) {

System.Text.StringBuilder messageBoxCS = new System.Text.StringBuilder();
messageBoxCS.AppendFormat("{0} = {1}", "Row", e.Row );
messageBoxCS.AppendLine();
messageBoxCS.AppendFormat("{0} = {1}", "StateChanged", e.StateChanged );
messageBoxCS.AppendLine();
MessageBox.Show(messageBoxCS.ToString(), "RowStateChanged Event" );
}
