DataGridView.OnCellClick Method

Raises the CellClick event.

Namespace: System.Windows.Forms
Assembly: System.Windows.Forms (in system.windows.forms.dll)

protected virtual void OnCellClick (
	DataGridViewCellEventArgs e
)
protected void OnCellClick (
	DataGridViewCellEventArgs e
)
protected function OnCellClick (
	e : DataGridViewCellEventArgs
)
Not applicable.

Parameters

e

A DataGridViewCellEventArgs that contains the event data.

Exception typeCondition

ArgumentOutOfRangeException

The value of the ColumnIndex property of e is greater than the number of columns in the control minus one.

-or-

The value of the RowIndex property of e is greater than the number of rows in the control minus one.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.

The OnCellClick method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors: When overriding OnCellClick in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnCellClick method so that registered delegates receive the event.
