DataGridView.OnAutoSizeColumnsModeChanged Method

Raises the AutoSizeColumnsModeChanged event.

Namespace:  System.Windows.Forms
Assembly:  System.Windows.Forms (in System.Windows.Forms.dll)
protected virtual void OnAutoSizeColumnsModeChanged(
	DataGridViewAutoSizeColumnsModeEventArgs e
)
ExceptionCondition
ArgumentNullException

The value of the PreviousModes property of e is null.

ArgumentException

The number of entries in the array returned by the PreviousModes property of e is not equal to the number of columns in the control.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.

The OnAutoSizeColumnsModeChanged method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnAutoSizeColumnsModeChanged in a derived class, be sure to call the base class’s OnAutoSizeColumnsModeChanged method so that registered delegates receive the event.
