DataGridView.ColumnDefaultCellStyleChanged Event

Occurs when the value of the DefaultCellStyle property for a column changes.

Namespace: System.Windows.Forms
Assembly: System.Windows.Forms (in system.windows.forms.dll)

public event DataGridViewColumnEventHandler ColumnDefaultCellStyleChanged
/** @event */
public void add_ColumnDefaultCellStyleChanged (DataGridViewColumnEventHandler value)

/** @event */
public void remove_ColumnDefaultCellStyleChanged (DataGridViewColumnEventHandler value)

In JScript, you can handle the events defined by a class, but you cannot define your own.
Not applicable.

This event occurs when any properties of the DataGridViewCellStyle returned by the DefaultCellStyle property for a column is set to a new value or when the DefaultCellStyle property for a column is set to a new DataGridViewCellStyle with at least one property value different than the previous cell style object.

For more information about handling events, see Consuming Events.

The following code example demonstrates the use of this member. In the example, an event handler reports on the occurrence of the ColumnDefaultCellStyleChanged event. This report helps you to learn when the event occurs and can assist you in debugging. To report on multiple events or on events that occur frequently, consider replacing System.Windows.Forms.MessageBox.Show with System.Console.WriteLine or appending the message to a multiline TextBox.

To run the example code, paste it into a project that contains an instance of type DataGridView named DataGridView1. Then ensure that the event handler is associated with the ColumnDefaultCellStyleChanged event.

private void DataGridView1_ColumnDefaultCellStyleChanged(Object sender, DataGridViewColumnEventArgs e) {

System.Text.StringBuilder messageBoxCS = new System.Text.StringBuilder();
messageBoxCS.AppendFormat("{0} = {1}", "Column", e.Column );
messageBoxCS.AppendLine();
MessageBox.Show(messageBoxCS.ToString(), "ColumnDefaultCellStyleChanged Event" );
}
