Application.GetRemoteStream Method

Returns a resource stream for a site-of-origin data file that is located at the specified Uri (see WPF Application Resource, Content, and Data Files).

Parameters

uriRemote
Type: System.Uri

The Uri that maps to a loose resource at the site of origin.

Return Value

Type: System.Windows.Resources.StreamResourceInfo
A StreamResourceInfo that contains a resource stream for a site-of-origin data file that is located at the specified Uri. If the loose resource is not found, a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic) is returned.

ExceptionCondition
ArgumentNullException

The Uri that is passed to GetRemoteStream is null.

ArgumentException

The OriginalString property of the Uri that is passed to GetRemoteStream is null.

ArgumentException

The Uri that is passed to GetRemoteStream is either not relative, or is absolute but not in the pack://siteoforigin:,,,/ form.

This method is not thread safe.
