ObjectCache.InfiniteAbsoluteExpiration Field

Gets a value that indicates that a cache entry has no absolute expiration.

Namespace:  System.Runtime.Caching
Assembly:  System.Runtime.Caching (in System.Runtime.Caching.dll)

static val InfiniteAbsoluteExpiration: DateTimeOffset

Field Value

Type: System.DateTimeOffset
A date-time value that is set to the maximum possible value.

A cache entry that is inserted into the cache with the InfiniteAbsoluteExpiration field value set as the expiration value should never expire based on an absolute point in time. However, a cache entry with this setting can be evicted from the cache for other reasons that are determined by a particular cache implementation, such as a change-monitor event eviction caused by memory pressure.
