ReservationCollection.MakeReservation Method

When overridden in a derived class, allocates a reservation of the specified size.

Namespace:  System.IO.Log
Assembly:  System.IO.Log (in System.IO.Log.dll)

protected abstract void MakeReservation(
	long size
)

Parameters

size
Type: System.Int64

The size of the reservation to allocate.

Notes to Inheritors:

When you inherit from ReservationCollection, you must implement this method to actually reserve space in the record sequence. You should not call ReservationMade when this method is complete; that logic is handled for you.
