Saml2SecurityTokenHandler.CreateWindowsIdentity Method

Creates a WindowsIdentity object using the specified User Principal Name (UPN).

	string upn
)

Parameters

upn
Type: System.String

The UPN to use to create the identity.

Return Value

Type: System.Security.Principal.WindowsIdentity
The Windows identity that was created.
ExceptionCondition
ArgumentException

upn is null or an empty string.

Windows 8, Windows Server 2012, Windows 7, Windows Vista SP2, Windows Server 2008 (Server Core Role not supported), Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server Core Role supported with SP1 or later; Itanium not supported)
