ResultCode Enumeration

The ResultCode enumeration specifies the operation result codes.

SuccessThe call completed successfully. The value is equal to 0.
OperationsErrorAn operation error occurred. The value is equal to 1.
ProtocolErrorA protocol error occurred. The value is equal to 2.
TimeLimitExceededThe time limit set by the server-side time limit parameter was exceeded. The value is equal to 3.
SizeLimitExceededThe size limit was exceeded. The value is equal to 4.
CompareFalseThe attribute and known values do not match. The value is equal to 5.
CompareTrueThe attribute and known values match. The value is equal to 6.
AuthMethodNotSupportedThe authentication method is not supported. The value is equal to 7.
StrongAuthRequiredStrong authentication is required for this operation. The value is equal to 8.
ReferralV2Only partial results and referrals were received. The value is equal to 9.
ReferralA referral was returned from the server. The value is equal to 10.
AdminLimitExceededThe administration limit on the server was exceeded. The value is equal to 11.
UnavailableCriticalExtensionThe server does not support the control. The control is critical. The value is equal to 12.
ConfidentialityRequiredConfidentiality is required for this operation. The value is equal to 13.
SaslBindInProgressSimple Authentication and Security Layer (SASL) bind is in progress. The value is equal to 14.
NoSuchAttributeThe requested attribute does not exist. The value is equal to 16.
UndefinedAttributeTypeThe type is not defined. The value is equal to 17.
InappropriateMatchingThe matching rule does not apply to the specified attribute type. The value is equal to 18.
ConstraintViolationA value in the request does not comply with certain constraints. The value is equal to 19.
AttributeOrValueExistsThe attribute exists or the value has been assigned. The value is equal to 20.
InvalidAttributeSyntaxThe syntax is invalid. The value is equal to 21.
NoSuchObjectThe object does not exist. The value is equal to 32.
AliasProblemThe alias is invalid. The value is equal to 33.
InvalidDNSyntaxThe distinguished name contains invalid syntax. The value is equal to 34.
AliasDereferencingProblemA problem occurred when dereferencing the alias. The value is equal to 36.
InappropriateAuthenticationThe authentication that was provided was not appropriate. The value is equal to 48.
InsufficientAccessRightsThe user has insufficient access rights. The value is equal to 50.
BusyThe server is busy. The value is equal to 51.
UnavailableThe server is unavailable. The value is equal to 52.
UnwillingToPerformThe server cannot handle directory requests. The value is equal to 53.
LoopDetectThe chain of referrals has looped back to a referring server. The value is equal to 54.
SortControlMissingThe search requires a SORT control. The value is equal to 60.
OffsetRangeErrorThe search results exceed the specified offset range. The value is equal to 61.
NamingViolationA naming violation occurred. The value is equal to 64.
ObjectClassViolationAn object class violation occurred. The value is equal to 65.
NotAllowedOnNonLeafThis operation is not allowed on a non-leaf object. The value is equal to 66.
NotAllowedOnRdnThis operation is not allowed on a relative distinguished name (RDN). The value is equal to 67.
EntryAlreadyExistsThe object already exists. The value is equal to 68.
ObjectClassModificationsProhibitedThe request is attempting to modify an object class that cannot be modified. The value is equal to 69.
ResultsTooLargeThe returned results are too large. The value is equal to 70.
AffectsMultipleDsasMultiple directory service agents are affected. The value is equal to 71.
VirtualListViewErrorAn error occurred when attempting to perform a requested Virtual List View operation. The value is equal to 76.
OtherAn unknown error occurred. The value is equal to 80.
