Represents the method that handles the ResolveName event of a serialization manager.
Assembly: System (in System.dll)
'Declaration <HostProtectionAttribute(SecurityAction.LinkDemand, SharedState := True)> _ Public Delegate Sub ResolveNameEventHandler ( _ sender As Object, _ e As ResolveNameEventArgs _ )
- Type: System.Object
The source of the event.
- Type: System.ComponentModel.Design.Serialization.ResolveNameEventArgs
A ResolveNameEventArgs that contains the event data.
This delegate is used by the IDesignerSerializationManager to resolve object names during serialization and deserialization.
When you create a delegate, you identify the method that will handle the event. To associate the event with your event handler, add an instance of the delegate to the event. The event handler is called whenever the event occurs, unless you remove the delegate. For more information about event-handler delegates, see Events and Delegates.
The HostProtectionAttribute attribute applied to this type or member has the following Resources property value: SharedState. The HostProtectionAttribute does not affect desktop applications (which are typically started by double-clicking an icon, typing a command, or entering a URL in a browser). For more information, see the HostProtectionAttribute class or SQL Server Programming and Host Protection Attributes.
Public Sub LinkResolveNameEvent(ByVal serializationManager As IDesignerSerializationManager) ' Registers an event handler for the resolve name event. AddHandler serializationManager.ResolveName, AddressOf Me.OnResolveName End Sub Private Sub OnResolveName(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As ResolveNameEventArgs) ' Displays ResolveName event information on the Console. Console.WriteLine(("Name of the name to resolve: " + e.Name)) Console.WriteLine(("ToString output of the object that no name was resolved for: " + e.Value.ToString())) End Sub
