How to: Open and Close the Folders Pane in Source Control Explorer

Team Foundation version control uses the Source Control Explorer as its primary interface. Source Control Explorer includes a folders pane which can be opened and closed to make it easier to navigate though team project version control folders and files. The following procedures demonstrate how to open and close the Folders pane in Source Control Explorer.

Required Permissions

To perform these procedures, you must be a member of the Team Foundation Valid Users security group. For more information, see Team Foundation Server Permissions.

To open and close the Folders pane in Source Control Explorer

  1. On the View menu, click Other Windows and then click Source Control Explorer if it is not already open.

  2. In the Source Control toolbar, click Folders to either open or close the Folder pane.

    TipTip:

The Folders pane can also be closed by clicking Close in the upper-right corner of its title bar.
