How to: Customize Search ResultsĀ

You can customize how search results appear in the Search page in several ways.

Hide topic abstracts

If you want to reduce the amount of scrolling you do through search results, you can choose to hide the abstract displayed for each topic in the list.

To hide topic abstracts

  1. On the Tools menu, choose Options.

  2. In the Options dialog box, select Help and then choose General.

  3. Clear the Show topic abstracts option.

Change the number of topics displayed on a search results page

You can specify the number of topics that appear on a single search results page.

To change the number of topics displayed at a time

  2. In the Options dialog box, select Help and then choose General.

  3. In Search results per page, enter a new number.

  1. On the Tools menu, choose Options.

  2. In the Options dialog box, select Help and then choose General.
