HttpClient.GetStreamAsync Method (Uri)

Send a GET request to the specified Uri and return the response body as a stream in an asynchronous operation.

	Uri requestUri
)

Parameters

requestUri
Type: System.Uri

The Uri the request is sent to.

Return Value

Type: System.Threading.Tasks.Task<Stream>
Returns Task<TResult>.
The task object representing the asynchronous operation.
ExceptionCondition
ArgumentNullException

The requestUri was null.

This operation will not block. The returned Task<TResult> object will complete after the whole response body is read. This method does not buffer the stream.
