HttpClient.PostAsync Method (String, HttpContent)

Send a POST request to the specified Uri as an asynchronous operation.

Parameters

requestUri
Type: System.String

The Uri the request is sent to.

content
Type: System.Net.Http.HttpContent

The HTTP request content sent to the server.

Return Value

Type: System.Threading.Tasks.Task<HttpResponseMessage>
Returns Task<TResult>.
The task object representing the asynchronous operation.
ExceptionCondition
ArgumentNullException

The requestUri was null.

This operation will not block. The returned Task<TResult> object will complete after the whole response (including content) is read.
