String.IConvertible.ToBoolean Method

Parameters

provider
Type: System.IFormatProvider
This parameter is ignored.

Return Value

Type: System.Boolean
true if the value of the current String object is TrueString, or false if the value of the current String object is FalseString.

ExceptionCondition
FormatException

The value of the current String object is not TrueString or FalseString.

This member is an explicit interface member implementation. It can be used only when the String instance is cast to an IConvertible interface. The recommended alternative is to call the Convert.ToBoolean(String) method.
