Visual Database Tools Editions

Visual Database Tools are included in multiple editions of Visual Studio. The following table describes the different features available with each edition.

  • Design tables and views on SQL Server Desktop Engine.
Visual Studio .NET Enterprise Developer

Visual Studio .NET Enterprise Architect

  • Browse tables, view data, and execute stored procedures on any database (SQL Server Desktop Engine, SQL Server, Oracle, or any database with an ODBC or OLE DB provider).
  • Design tables, views, procedures, triggers, and functions, on SQL Server Desktop Engine, SQL Server, and Oracle.
