TemplateContainerAttribute Constructor (Type)

Initializes a new instance of the TemplateContainerAttribute class using the specified container type.

Namespace:  System.Web.UI
Assembly:  System.Web (in System.Web.dll)

public TemplateContainerAttribute(
	Type containerType
)

Parameters

containerType
Type: System.Type

The Type for the container control.

The following code example shows how to create a templated control named TemplatedFirstControl and associate it with a container named FirstTemplateContainer. This allows the creation of custom controls that display the server time when the template is not specified and the template's content when the template is specified. The TemplateContainerAttribute class is used for the FirstTemplate property.
