XmlReader.ReadStartElement Method (String, String)
Checks that the current content node is an element with the given LocalName and NamespaceURI and advances the reader to the next node.

Parameters
- localname
- Type: System.String
The local name of the element.
- ns
- Type: System.String
The namespace URI of the element.
| Exception | Condition |
|---|---|
| XmlException | Incorrect XML was encountered in the input stream. -or- The LocalName and NamespaceURI properties of the element found do not match the given arguments. |
| InvalidOperationException | An XmlReader method was called before a previous asynchronous operation finished. In this case, InvalidOperationException is thrown with the message “An asynchronous operation is already in progress.” |
A call to this method corresponds to a call to IsStartElement followed by a call to Read.
