XmlReader.ReadStartElement Method (String, String)

Checks that the current content node is an element with the given LocalName and NamespaceURI and advances the reader to the next node.

Parameters

localname
Type: System.String

The local name of the element.

ns
Type: System.String

The namespace URI of the element.

ExceptionCondition
XmlException

IsStartElement returns false, or the LocalName and NamespaceURI properties of the element found do not match the given arguments.

A call to this method corresponds to a call to IsStartElement followed by a call to Read.
