Semi-supported property (SectionInformation.InheritInChildApplications Property (System.Configuration))
This property doesn't seem to be defined in the XSDs that come with VS 2008, so you'll get a warning when you place it on the <location> element. (But it seems to work fine.) Note: This is still occurring on VS 2010 RC1.

Select columns individually (How to: Duplicate Tables)
I had the same problem. If you hold down the control key and select all the columns individually you can then paste all the columns in the new table. You can't simply click on the column header to select all.Copy and paste options in the local context menu would help instead of going to the Edit menu. This is not intuitive. Even better, how about a 'Paste' option after you click the 'Copy' option

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but the above process doesn't work for me.The "Toolbar Editor" option is always greyed out both on the right click context menu and the "Image" drop down menu when viewing an existing Bitmap in the resource editor of VS 2008 SP1. Therefore it doesn't seem to want to create a toolbar from the bitmap for some reason. However, if you FIRST create a toolbar (via right

Fix for Visual Studio 2008 web service debugging dns error on localhost (Troubleshooting the ASP.NET Development Server)
Visual Studio 2008 web service debugging on Vista failed on me with a dns error on http://localhost:51526 I tried commenting out the ::1 Localhost line in Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts, but that didn't work for me. I added a line 127.0.0.1 localhosts in the Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file. I also added tcp and udp for the port in the Services file in that same directory.I am not sure

This is a serious problem. A note above states:The timestamp syntax is deprecated. This feature will be removed in a future version of Microsoft SQL Server. Avoid using this feature in new development work, and plan to modify applications that currently use this feature. In vs2008, for example, in the Server Explorer (in Visual Web Developer 2008, it's called the Database Explorer), try to create a

Delimiter behaviour depends on context of your text insertion point (Delimiters for Documentation Tags (C# Programming Guide))
If you place your cursor on a line that precedes a statement like "public class ClassOf2008"and type "///", depending on your options settings, you should get: /// <summary> /// --- text that you type --- /// </summary> public class ClassOf2008 If you type "///" within the body of ClassOf2008 the automatic insertion of the <summary> and </summary> pair wi
