XPathNavigator.MoveToFirstChild Method

When overridden in a derived class, moves the XPathNavigator to the first child node of the current node.

public abstract bool MoveToFirstChild()

Return Value

Type: System.Boolean
Returns true if the XPathNavigator is successful moving to the first child node of the current node; otherwise, false. If false, the position of the XPathNavigator is unchanged.

Remarks

Root and Element are the only two XPathNodeType values that can have children. This property always returns false for all other XPathNodeType node types.
