XmlValidatingReader.NamespaceURI Property

Gets the namespace Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) (as defined in the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Namespace specification) of the node on which the reader is positioned.

Property Value

Type: System.String
The namespace URI of the current node; otherwise an empty string.

This property is relevant to Element and Attribute nodes only.

NoteNote:

The XmlValidatingReader class is obsolete in .NET Framework version 2.0. You can create a validating XmlReader instance by using the XmlReaderSettings class and the Create method. For more information, see Validating XML Data with XmlReader.
