XElement.RemoveAll Method

Removes nodes and attributes from this XElement.

Namespace:  System.Xml.Linq
Assembly:  System.Xml.Linq (in System.Xml.Linq.dll)
public void RemoveAll()

This method will raise the Changed and the Changing events.

The following example creates an element with attributes and child elements. It then calls this method to remove both the attributes and the child elements.

StringBuilder output = new StringBuilder();
XElement root = new XElement("Root",
    new XAttribute("Att1", 1),
    new XAttribute("Att2", 2),
    new XAttribute("Att3", 3),
    new XElement("Child1", 1),
    new XElement("Child2", 2),
    new XElement("Child3", 3)
);
root.RemoveAll(); // removes children elements and attributes of root
output.Append(root + Environment.NewLine);

OutputTextBlock.Text = output.ToString();
