XDocument.Add Method

Remarks

This method adds the new content after the existing content of the XContainer.

This method will raise the Changed and the Changing events.

Examples

The following example creates two XML trees, and then uses this method to add the results of a query to one of them.

XElement srcTree = new XElement("Root",

    new XElement("Element2", 2),
    new XElement("Element3", 3),
    new XElement("Element4", 4),
    new XElement("Element5", 5)
);
XElement xmlTree = new XElement("Root",
    new XElement("NewElement", "Content")
);
xmlTree.Add(
    from el in srcTree.Elements()
    where (int)el >= 3
    select el
);
output.Append(xmlTree + Environment.NewLine);
