TemplatePartAttribute.Type Property

Gets or sets a string that reports the Type of a template part.

The ControlTemplate should include an object element of the type referenced by the Type. In general when retemplating, the type should be that exact type, because use of that type was the stated intention of the control author. However, in some cases, it makes sense to use an element that inherits from Type.
