RayHitTestResult Class

Represents the result of a hit test along a ray.

public abstract class RayHitTestResult : HitTestResult

The RayHitTestResult type exposes the following members.

  Name Description
Public property DistanceToRayOrigin Gets the distance between the hit intersection and the inner coordinate space of the Visual3D which initiated the hit test.
Public property ModelHit Gets the Model3D intersected by the ray along which the hit test was performed.
Public property PointHit Gets the Point3D at the intersection between the ray along which the hit test was performed and the hit object.
Public property VisualHit Gets the Visual intersected by the ray along which the hit test was performed.

If a ray hits a MeshGeometry3D, you can cast to an instance of RayMeshGeometry3DHitTestResult to get even more detailed information about the intersection.
