BamlLocalizer Class

Extracts resources from a binary XAML (BAML) file and generates a localized version of a BAML source.

Namespace: System.Windows.Markup.Localizer
Assembly: PresentationFramework (in presentationframework.dll)

'Declaration
Public Class BamlLocalizer
'Usage
Dim instance As BamlLocalizer

public class BamlLocalizer
public class BamlLocalizer
You cannot use this managed class in XAML.

This class is the primary entry point to the BAML localization API. You must create an instance of this class for each BAML that you localize.

The following example demonstrates how to use a BamlLocalizer.

// Obtain the BAML stream.
Stream source = entry.Value as Stream;

// Create a BamlLocalizer on the stream.
BamlLocalizer localizer = new BamlLocalizer(source);
BamlLocalizationDictionary resources = localizer.ExtractResources();

// Write out all the localizable resources in the BAML.
foreach (DictionaryEntry resourceEntry in resources)
{
    BamlLocalizableResourceKey key = resourceEntry.Key as BamlLocalizableResourceKey;
    BamlLocalizableResource value = resourceEntry.Value as BamlLocalizableResource;
    Console.WriteLine(
        "    {0}.{1}.{2} = {3}",
        key.Uid,
        key.ClassName,
        key.PropertyName,
        value.Content
        );
}
