D3DImage::CopyBackBuffer Method

Creates a software copy of the D3DImage.

Namespace:  System.Windows.Interop
Assembly:  PresentationCore (in PresentationCore.dll)
protected public:
virtual BitmapSource^ CopyBackBuffer()

Return Value

Type: System.Windows.Media.Imaging::BitmapSource
A BitmapSource that is a software copy of the current state of the back buffer; otherwise, nullptr if the back buffer cannot be read.

The CopyBackBuffer method is called by clients such as the printing system and the RenderTargetBitmap class.

Optionally override the CopyBackBuffer method to implement custom logic and return a different BitmapSource. For example, you can return a placeholder BitmapSource if the default CopyBackBuffer implementation returns nullptr.
