UpDownBase.OnTextBoxLostFocus Method

Raises the LostFocus event.

Namespace:  System.Windows.Forms
Assembly:  System.Windows.Forms (in System.Windows.Forms.dll)

protected virtual void OnTextBoxLostFocus(
	Object source,
	EventArgs e
)

Parameters

source
Type: System.Object

The source of the event.

e
Type: System.EventArgs

An EventArgs that contains the event data.

This method validates the text in the text box portion of the control when the spin box (also known as an up-down control) loses focus.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.

The OnTextBoxLostFocus method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnTextBoxLostFocus in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnTextBoxLostFocus method so that registered delegates receive the event.
