TypeValidationEventHandler Delegate

Note: This delegate is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

Represents the method that will handle the TypeValidationCompleted event of the MaskedTextBox control.

Namespace: System.Windows.Forms
Assembly: System.Windows.Forms (in system.windows.forms.dll)

public delegate void TypeValidationEventHandler (
	Object sender,
	TypeValidationEventArgs e
)
/** @delegate */
public delegate void TypeValidationEventHandler (
	Object sender,
	TypeValidationEventArgs e
)
JScript supports the use of delegates, but not the declaration of new ones.

Parameters

sender

The source of the event.

e

A TypeValidationEventArgs that contains the event data.

The TypeValidationCompleted event of the MaskedTextBox class is an optional event that is raised only if the ValidatingType property is explicitly set to a type other than a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).

Typically, a handler for the TypeValidationCompleted event is implemented to perform mask-specific and type-specific validation processing. In contrast, general validation is typically performed in the standard Validating event defined in the Control base class.
