ToolStrip.Items Property

Gets all the items that belong to a ToolStrip.

Namespace:  System.Windows.Forms
Assembly:  System.Windows.Forms (in System.Windows.Forms.dll)
public virtual ToolStripItemCollection Items { get; }

Property Value

Type: System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItemCollection
An object of type ToolStripItemCollection, representing all the elements contained by a ToolStrip.

Use the Items collection to retrieve all the items that have been added to the ToolStrip, not just the items that are displayed. An item remains in the Items collection even if it is an overflow item and is therefore not currently visible.

Use the DisplayedItems property to retrieve only the items that are currently displayed on the ToolStrip.

The following code example adds a collection of items to a ToolStrip.

			this.toolStrip1.Items.AddRange(new System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem[]
                        {
                        this.newToolStripButton,
                        this.openToolStripButton,
                        this.saveToolStripButton,
                        this.printToolStripButton,
                        this.toolStripSeparator,
                        this.cutToolStripButton,
                        this.copyToolStripButton,
                        this.pasteToolStripButton,
                        this.toolStripSeparator1,
                        this.helpToolStripButton});
