TableLayoutCellPaintEventHandler Delegate

Represents the method that will handle the CellPaint event.

Namespace: System.Windows.Forms
Assembly: System.Windows.Forms (in system.windows.forms.dll)

public delegate void TableLayoutCellPaintEventHandler (
	Object sender,
	TableLayoutCellPaintEventArgs e
)
/** @delegate */
public delegate void TableLayoutCellPaintEventHandler (
	Object sender,
	TableLayoutCellPaintEventArgs e
)
Not applicable.

Parameters

sender

The source of the event.

e

A TableLayoutCellPaintEventArgs that contains the event data.

When you create a TableLayoutCellPaintEventHandler delegate, you identify a method to handle the event. To associate the event with your event handler, add an instance of the delegate to the event. The event handler is called whenever the event occurs, unless you remove the delegate. For more information about event handler delegates, see Events and Delegates.

The following example shows how to a TableLayoutCellPaintEventHandler delegate to customize the appearance of a TableLayoutPanel control. This code example is part of a larger example provided for the TableLayoutPanel control.

public class DemoTableLayoutPanel : TableLayoutPanel
{
	protected override void OnCellPaint(TableLayoutCellPaintEventArgs e)
	{
		base.OnCellPaint(e);

        Control c = this.GetControlFromPosition(e.Column, e.Row);

        if ( c != null )
        {
            Graphics g = e.Graphics;

            g.DrawRectangle(
				Pens.Red,
				e.CellBounds.Location.X+1,
				e.CellBounds.Location.Y + 1,
				e.CellBounds.Width - 2, e.CellBounds.Height - 2);

			g.FillRectangle(
				Brushes.Blue,
				e.CellBounds.Location.X + 1,
				e.CellBounds.Location.Y + 1,
				e.CellBounds.Width - 2,
				e.CellBounds.Height - 2);
        };
	}

}
