Assembly: System.Windows.Forms (in system.windows.forms.dll)
'Declaration Protected Overrides Sub OnMouseWheel ( _ e As MouseEventArgs _ ) 'Usage Dim e As MouseEventArgs Me.OnMouseWheel(e)
A MouseEventArgs that contains the event data.
If the vertical scroll bar is visible, which means that the VScroll property is set to true, the mouse wheel scrolls through the ScrollableControl control vertically. However, if only the horizontal scroll bar is visible, which means that the VScroll is set to false and the HScroll property to set to true, the mouse wheel scrolls horizontally.
Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.
The OnMouseWheel method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.Notes to Inheritors: When overriding OnMouseWheel in a derived class, be sure to call the base class’s OnMouseWheel method so that registered delegates receive the event.
