This page is specific to
Microsoft Visual Studio 2008/.NET Framework 3.5

Other versions are also available for the following:
.NET Framework Class Library
ListControl..::.DisplayMemberChanged Event

Occurs when the DisplayMember property changes.

Namespace:  System.Windows.Forms
Assembly:  System.Windows.Forms (in System.Windows.Forms.dll)
Visual Basic (Declaration)
Public Event DisplayMemberChanged As EventHandler
Visual Basic (Usage)
Dim instance As ListControl
Dim handler As EventHandler

AddHandler instance.DisplayMemberChanged, handler
C#
public event EventHandler DisplayMemberChanged
Visual C++
public:
 event EventHandler^ DisplayMemberChanged {
    void add (EventHandler^ value);
    void remove (EventHandler^ value);
}
JScript
JScript does not support events.

For more information about handling events, see Consuming Events.

The following code example demonstrates the use of this member. In the example, an event handler reports on the occurrence of the DisplayMemberChanged event. This report helps you to learn when the event occurs and can assist you in debugging. To report on multiple events or on events that occur frequently, consider replacing MessageBox..::.Show with Console..::.WriteLine or appending the message to a multiline TextBox.

To run the example code, paste it into a project that contains an instance of a type that inherits from ListControl, such as a ComboBox or ListBox. Then name the instance ListControl1 and ensure that the event handler is associated with the DisplayMemberChanged event.

Visual Basic
Private Sub ListControl1_DisplayMemberChanged(sender as Object, e as EventArgs) _
     Handles ListControl1.DisplayMemberChanged

   MessageBox.Show("You are in the ListControl.DisplayMemberChanged event.")

End Sub
C#
private void ListControl1_DisplayMemberChanged(Object sender, EventArgs e) {

   MessageBox.Show("You are in the ListControl.DisplayMemberChanged event.");

}
