Form.OnFormClosing Method
Raises the FormClosing event.
Namespace: System.Windows.Forms
Assembly: System.Windows.Forms (in System.Windows.Forms.dll)
Parameters
- e
- Type: System.Windows.Forms.FormClosingEventArgs
A FormClosingEventArgs that contains the event data.
Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.
The OnFormClosing method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.
Notes to InheritorsWhen overriding OnFormClosing in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnFormClosing method so that registered delegates receive the event.
