Gets or sets a value indicating whether the Maximize button is displayed in the caption bar of the form.
Assembly: System.Windows.Forms (in System.Windows.Forms.dll)
A Maximize button enables users to enlarge a window to full-screen size. To display a Maximize button, you must also set the form's FormBorderStyle property to FormBorderStyle.FixedSingle, FormBorderStyle.Sizable, FormBorderStyle.Fixed3D, or FormBorderStyle.FixedDialog.
A Maximize button automatically becomes a restore button when a window is maximized. Minimizing or restoring a window automatically changes the restore button back to a Maximize button.
Maximizing a form at run time generates a Resize event. The WindowState property reflects the current state of the window. If you set the WindowState property to FormWindowState.Maximized, the form is maximized independently of whatever settings are in effect for the and FormBorderStyle properties.
The following code example creates a new instance of a Form and calls the ShowDialog method to display the form as a dialog box. The example sets the FormBorderStyle, AcceptButton, CancelButton, MinimizeBox, , and StartPosition properties to change the appearance and functionality of the form to a dialog box. The example also uses the Add method of the form's Controls collection to add two Button controls. The example uses the HelpButton property to display a help button in the caption bar of the dialog box.
