DataGridView.OnRowStateChanged Method

Note: This method is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

Raises the RowStateChanged event.

Namespace: System.Windows.Forms
Assembly: System.Windows.Forms (in system.windows.forms.dll)

protected virtual void OnRowStateChanged (
	int rowIndex,
	DataGridViewRowStateChangedEventArgs e
)
protected void OnRowStateChanged (
	int rowIndex,
	DataGridViewRowStateChangedEventArgs e
)
protected function OnRowStateChanged (
	rowIndex : int,
	e : DataGridViewRowStateChangedEventArgs
)

Parameters

rowIndex

The index of the row that is changing state.

e

A DataGridViewRowStateChangedEventArgs that contains the event data.

Exception typeCondition

InvalidCastException

The row changed from read-only to read/write, enabling the current cell to enter edit mode, but the EditType property of the current cell does not indicate a class that derives from Control and implements IDataGridViewEditingControl.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.

The OnRowStateChanged method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors When overriding OnRowStateChanged in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnRowStateChanged method so that registered delegates receive the event.

Windows 98, Windows 2000 SP4, Windows Millennium Edition, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP Media Center Edition, Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, Windows XP SP2, Windows XP Starter Edition

The .NET Framework does not support all versions of every platform. For a list of the supported versions, see System Requirements.
