DataGridView.OnColumnToolTipTextChanged Method

Raises the ColumnToolTipTextChanged event.

Namespace:  System.Windows.Forms
Assembly:  System.Windows.Forms (in System.Windows.Forms.dll)
abstract OnColumnToolTipTextChanged :
        e:DataGridViewColumnEventArgs -> unit
override OnColumnToolTipTextChanged :
        e:DataGridViewColumnEventArgs -> unit

Parameters

e
Type: System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewColumnEventArgs

A DataGridViewColumnEventArgs that contains information about the column.

ExceptionCondition
ArgumentException

The column indicated by the Column property of e does not belong to this DataGridView control.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.

The OnColumnToolTipTextChanged method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnColumnToolTipTextChanged in a derived class, be sure to call the base class’s OnColumnToolTipTextChanged method so that registered delegates receive the event.
