DataGridView.OnCellParsing Method

Raises the CellParsing event.

Namespace:  System.Windows.Forms
Assembly:  System.Windows.Forms (in System.Windows.Forms.dll)
'Declaration
Protected Overridable Sub OnCellParsing ( _
	e As DataGridViewCellParsingEventArgs _
)
ExceptionCondition
ArgumentOutOfRangeException

The value of the ColumnIndex property of e is greater than the number of columns in the control minus one.

-or-

The value of the RowIndex property of e is greater than the number of rows in the control minus one.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.

The OnCellParsing method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnCellParsing in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnCellParsing method so that registered delegates receive the event.
