Control.OnResize Method

Raises the Resize event.

Namespace: System.Windows.Forms
Assembly: System.Windows.Forms (in system.windows.forms.dll)

'Declaration
Protected Overridable Sub OnResize ( _
	e As EventArgs _
)
'Usage
Dim e As EventArgs

Me.OnResize(e)
protected void OnResize (
	EventArgs e
)
protected function OnResize (
	e : EventArgs
)
Not applicable.

Parameters

e

An EventArgs that contains the event data.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.

The OnResize method also enables derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors: When overriding OnResize in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnResize method so that registered delegates receive the event. The OnResize method can be called during construction, so if you override OnResize it can be called before the control constructor is called.
