Gets the default Input Method Editor (IME) mode supported by the control.
abstract DefaultImeMode : ImeMode with get
override DefaultImeMode : ImeMode with get
An Input Method Editor (IME) is a program that enables users to enter complex characters and symbols, such as Japanese Kanji characters, by using a standard keyboard.
As implemented in the
class, this property always returns the Control value. The ImeMode .Inherit value specifies that the IME mode is inherited from the parent control. Inherit Notes to Inheritors
When overriding the
property in a derived class, use the base class's DefaultImeMode property to extend the base implementation. Otherwise, you must provide all the implementation. DefaultImeMode
The following code example overrides the
property to turn off the Input Method Editor. DefaultImeMode
