ButtonBase.OnMouseEnter Method

This method supports the .NET Framework infrastructure and is not intended to be used directly from your code.

Raises the OnMouseEnter event.

Namespace: System.Windows.Forms
Assembly: System.Windows.Forms (in system.windows.forms.dll)

protected override void OnMouseEnter (
	EventArgs eventargs
)
protected void OnMouseEnter (
	EventArgs eventargs
)
protected override function OnMouseEnter (
	eventargs : EventArgs
)
Not applicable.

Parameters

eventargs

An EventArgs that contains the event data.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.

The OnMouseEnter method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

NoteNote:

Do not call OnMouseEnter if the button is disabled (this includes call to the base class's OnMouseEnter method when you override OnMouseEnter in a derived class). When disabling the button in an override of OnMouseEnter, call the base class's OnMouseEnter method before disabling the button, or do not call it at all.

Notes to Inheritors: When overriding OnMouseEnter in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnMouseEnter method so that registered delegates receive the event.
