Control.OnDragEnter Method

May 02, 2013

This API supports the .NET Framework infrastructure and is not intended to be used directly from your code.

Called before a drag enter event occurs.

Namespace:  System.Windows.Controls
Assembly:  System.Windows (in System.Windows.dll)
protected virtual void OnDragEnter(
	DragEventArgs e
)

Parameters

e
Type: System.Windows.DragEventArgs
A DragEventArgs that contains the event data.

The OnDragEnter method is called before any event handler for a drag enter event is called. This method allows derived classes to handle a drag enter event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

This implementation does not change the handled state (the Handled property) of the drag enter event data.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnDragEnter in a derived class, be sure to call the base class’s OnDragEnter method so that registered delegates receive the event.

Windows Phone OS

Supported in: 8.0, 7.1
