AutomationProperties.GetAutomationId Method

Gets the AutomationId attached property for the specified DependencyObject.

public static string GetAutomationId(
	DependencyObject element
)

Parameters

element: Type: System.Windows.DependencyObject
The DependencyObject to check.

Return Value

Type: System.String
The UI Automation identifier for the specified element.

Remarks

If AutomationId property isn't set, this method returns the Name property.
